House rules

To guarantee a fun and safe environment, Rotterdam Rave has established house rules. Failure to comply may result in removal without refund. Thank you for helping us maintain a secure venue.

General

  1. At Rotterdam Rave all daily social norms and values apply.
  2. The instructions of the staff or therefore qualified persons, which are connected to the house rules, must be followed at all times at the event and in the immediate surroundings.
  3. Dutch law is in force at Rotterdam Rave.
  4. All visitors must identify themselves if explicitly requested.
  5. To protect your own and others' safety, there is a visitation requirement (including for bags). On request, this search will be carried out by a staff member of the same gender. If you do not cooperate, you will be denied access.
  6. Persons dressed in tracksuits, soccer shirts and/or clothing belonging to (a) certain group(s) will be refused entry. Also not allowed are caps, balaclavas or other face coverings. As well as flashy gold or silver necklaces, fanny packs and shoulder bags, sweaters and/or sweatshirts of cartoon characters and flashy glasses.
  7. It is not allowed to bring in food, coolers, lunch boxes, pressure holders, liquid substances, writing materials, perfumes, stickers, tape and other such items. These will be taken and discarded.
  8. It is also not allowed to bring in glassware, (plastic) bottles, cans, water bags, spray cans (including CS gas/pepper spray), fireworks, nitrous oxide or nitrous oxide cartridges, umbrellas, or selfie sticks longer than 1.5 metres when extended. These will be taken and discarded.
  9. It is not allowed to take any chewing gum, lollipops or similar products inside.
  10. It is not allowed to bring drinks inside. To prevent littering outside, it is also not allowed to go outside with drinks or food.
  11. It is not allowed to bring in unhandy items like suitcases, backpacks and other bags that exceed the size of an A4 format and are thicker than 10 cm (including wheels, handles and front/back pockets).
  12. Pets are not allowed, with the exception of demonstrable assistance dogs (identifiable by a logo on the harness/cover plus ID). Given the nature of our events this is strongly discouraged. Please contact Rotterdam Rave in advance via info@rotterdamrave.com if this applies to you.
  13. Smoking inside is not allowed anywhere (tents or half-open tents included). Smoking is only permitted outside. This also applies to e-cigarettes/vaping.
  14. A laid-back attitude and appropriate behavior is a basic requirement. In case of aggression or attitude, access will be refused. The threat and use of violence, making discriminatory remarks in word and/or gesture, sexual harassment, urinating in public, throwing beer and throwing mud will not be tolerated. Security will remove any individuals responsible for such actions. By entering a Rotterdam Rave event, you agree to follow these rules and contribute to a safe environment. In case you feel harassed or threatened in any way during an event, please go to security or send a DM to Rotterdam Rave on Instagram @rotterdamrave.
  15. Outside of the event location visitors are asked to take the well being of the surrounding residents into account by parking vehicles in the designated areas, not urinating in public, respecting the belongings and sleep of residents and not to leave litter in and around the site.
  16. It is not permitted to block paths, (emergency) exits, stairs or fire extinguishers.
  17. The distribution of promotional printed matter and/or trade in goods at the event and in the immediate vicinity is prohibited, unless written permission has been granted by the organization.
  18. Once you leave the event location, your ticket is no longer valid. It is not possible to temporarily leave and re-enter during the event.
  19. Reselling your ticket is only allowed via officially designated resale platforms and within the permitted price range. Reselling via any other channel is prohibited and may result in a fine of €250 per ticket plus €100 per day the violation continues, on top of the ticket being invalidated without refund.
  20. In the event of non-compliance with our house rules, you will be irrevocably denied access to the event and you will be notified of a local ban of one or more years.
  21. For nighttime events, doors close at 02.00. For day events, check the specific information of the respective event.
  22. All Rotterdam Rave events are 18+.
